Can you help me? Please.

Why do we, as mothers and wifes, sometimes feel that question is too hard to ask? So instead we do all the work alone, complaining aloud as we do it? I find myself doing this all the time, and my husband just says, if you need help, just ask. I of course say, " why do I have to ask for help, why don't you just help me?" It then becomes a battle with frustration, when if I would JUST ASK FOR HELP, I would indeed get it. God wants us to know this with him also! Don't go the struggles alone, ask God for help! Exodus 18:17-18 Moses father-in-law replied"What you are doing is not good." You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. THE WORK IS TOO HEAVY FOR YOU; YOU CANNOT HANDLE IT ALONE. That is so true, and one reason why we have a spouse to help and a loving God to turn to! This one really hit home for me and I will start asking for help! Have a Blessed Day!

I have the same issue too. I just wish someone would help without being asked. I feel like I ask all the time, and just want that pitch in without having to ask. All of the responsibilities of the family and home are not mine, so why do I have to ask for it to get done???

I agree, it's hard to ask for help, particularly when it's as plain as day what I need help with.

I know exactly what you mean! I resent it when they can't read my mind, but that's too much to ask!

Still, I am trying to train my kids (and my hubby) to carry things from the bottom of the stairs to the top of the stairs. They seem to think that I place the stuff there for no particular reason. But they're learning!
